Do you remember the last time that you accomplished a goal and how happy you were? isn’t it an amazing feeling to say to yourself, “Yes! I did it!”
Well, after working hard to accomplish all the steps stated thus far, you have finally reached the right to say the treasured words . . . I DID IT!
Most people when they accomplish a goal, forget to celebrate. It is really important to give yourself that positive feedback and take a moment to reflect upon your goal. Your positive feedback to yourself will give you the motivation to keep going and work toward your other goals.
So, at the end of the day ask yourself the following questions (Kate Larsen, Experience Magazine 2/2012)
Did I accomplish my goal today? If so, how did I do it? If not, what smaller successes did I make towards my goal?
If, I failed to achieve my goal, what were my obstacles and can I change them so that they do not interfere my goals tomorrow?
If you failed to accomplish your goal, don’t fret! Just learn from your mistakes, make the changes and move on.
One of the best ways to celebrate your win, is to keep a success journal in which you jot down all your successes no matter how big or small. (or, in my case, buy yet another Coach bag!!)
So, this is the end of your 4 part series on goal setting. I hope that you strive to reach all your goals that you have set for yourself this year. Believe that you will win, an you sure will. Have confidence in yourself and tackle on thing at a time!
Happy Goal setting and achieving!
